I would just like to thank you guys for being there and making this a really special day for us both!.The new production no doubt is refreshing, funny, touching and thrilling, all at the same time and brings a lot of youthfulness to the classic story. Although, they are presented with more energy and grace, intensifying the emotions of the characters. The musical’s script and songs have not been touched and retain their beauty and traditional feel. In another scene when the phantom is angry, striking stage effect of real flames and sparks create a realistic imagery that enhances his rage. As compared to the previous versions, the crystal chandelier is much closer to the audience so when it falls down, they can’t help but scream making them a part of the show. The new production executes the crashing chandelier scene in a breathtaking manner – literally.
A big cylindrical fixture changes the backgrounds whilst rotating around the stage, reducing the time interval between the scenes. The animated projections and special effects enhance the storytelling and overall improve the quality of the show. The modern twist on the musical is cleverly executed and captures the audience’s attention.
